Growing Chedi Orange Marigold Seeds (50 Count)
Chedi Orange Marigolds are vibrant, full-blooming flowers known for their rich orange hue and long-lasting blooms. These marigolds are easy to grow and thrive in warm, sunny conditions, making them a perfect choice for garden beds, borders, and containers.
How to Grow Chedi Orange Marigolds
1. Choosing the Right Location
Chedi Orange Marigolds prefer full sun (at least 6 hours per day) and well-draining soil. They tolerate a variety of soil types but perform best in moderately fertile, slightly acidic to neutral soil (pH 6.0–7.0).
2. Sowing the Seeds
- Start seeds indoors 4–6 weeks before the last frost or sow them directly outdoors after the danger of frost has passed.
- Sow seeds ¼ inch (6 mm) deep in moist soil and cover lightly.
- Maintain a temperature of 70–75°F (21–24°C) for optimal germination.
3. Watering & Care
- Keep the soil evenly moist but not waterlogged until germination (7–14 days).
- Once seedlings emerge, thin them to 8–12 inches apart to allow for proper air circulation.
- Water deeply once or twice a week, letting the soil dry slightly between waterings.
4. Fertilizing & Maintenance
- Deadhead spent blooms regularly to promote continuous flowering.
- Marigolds are relatively pest-resistant, but occasional aphids or spider mites may appear. Use insecticidal soap if needed.
5. Blooming & Harvesting
- Chedi Orange Marigolds begin flowering 8–10 weeks after planting and bloom from late spring until the first frost.
- Cut fresh flowers for bouquets, or let them naturally reseed for future growth.
These marigolds add a striking pop of color to any garden while also helping to repel pests and attract beneficial pollinators.
